(Lexington, KY) Traditional Bank is pleased to announce Jordan Parker has been named president of the board of directors for Prevent Child Abuse KY (PCAK). His election to the leadership role embodies a history of community service from Jordan, and also reflects a key element of the Traditional Bank culture.

A 15 year Traditional Bank employee, Jordan currently helps lead the bank's business development efforts as Client Relationship Officer. His position requires him to wear many hats, and he is always on call for his clients. But that does not slow his enthusiasm for giving back. In addition to PCAK, Jordan serves on several boards including the Lexington Public Library, CivicLex, and the LFUCG Economic Development Investment Board. He has also coached youth soccer for the past 15 years.

“As someone who coaches young people, I was thrilled to be asked to be on a PCAK fundraising committee. After that, I transitioned to board member and am excited to take on the role of president.” Parker continued, “Through my work with PCAK I’ve learned how widespread child abuse is in Kentucky, but am inspired by the work they’re doing to prevent it.”

PCAK’s mission is to prevent the abuse and neglect of Kentucky’s children through advocacy, education, awareness and training. Their vision is to build a better Kentucky by shaping future leaders and their families to ensure Kentucky's children grow up in safe, healthy environments.

Andy Baker, Traditional Bank CEO, shared that bank officers currently hold leadership roles on 35 different non-profit boards in Central and Eastern Kentucky. He provided his thoughts on why giving back is such an important part of the bank’s success.

“We’ve established core leadership values for our organization with ‘commitment to our culture’ serving as the first key component. Our management team and board defines this as being committed to a cause greater than oneself and inspiring others to do the same,” Baker said. “We believe in the value of giving back and making our communities a better place to live.”

Traditional Bank is an independent, community bank with 16 locations in Montgomery, Menifee, Fayette, Clark, Bourbon and Franklin counties and approximately $1.8 billion in assets.
