Open Your Small Business Checking & Savings Online

If you're ready to open your small business checking or savings account, here's what you need to know:

  • Who can apply?
    • Applicants should be U.S. residents.
    • Primary applicant should be an owner of the business and/or authorized to open an account on behalf of the business.
    • Business digital account opening is available for sole proprietorships, organizations, associations, limited liability corporations, limited partnerships and corporations. Some accounts may require personal assistance from our Business Banking team. Please call (859) 410-7980 if you have any questions or need help opening your new account.

     

  • How long will it take?
    • Allow 20-30 minutes to open your account.
    • If you get pulled away, don't worry! Log back in and finish at a later time.
    • You will be notified within one business day following the completion of your application if you've been approved, declined or if we require more documentation. Additional documentation must be provided within 10 business days in order to keep your application active. After 10 business days, your application will be purged.
  • How do I fund my account?

    During the application process, you will be required to make your initial deposit into your account. You can do that in one of the following ways: 1) Use a credit or debit card or 2) transfer funds from another bank. If you do not currently have an account or credit/debit card to fund your new account, you will need to contact our Business Banking team at (859) 410-7980 and we'll be happy to open your account with a cash deposit.

  • Sole Proprietorship
    • Valid ID such as drivers license, state ID, military ID or passport
    • Basic personal information for additional signers, including email and phone number
    • Business Tax ID
    • Legal business name and DBA, if applicable
    • Business License (optional)
  • Organization or Association
    • Valid ID such as drivers license, state ID, military ID or passport
    • Basic personal information for additional signers, including email and phone number
    • Business Tax ID
    • Legal business name and DBA, if applicable
    • Organizing Document (example: Articles of Organization, Bylaws, Meeting Minutes)
    • Corporate or Business Resolution (If not uploaded but required, someone will reach out and send the necessary documents to assist you)
  • Limited Liability Company
    • Valid ID such as drivers license, state ID, military ID or passport
    • Basic personal information for additional signers or owners of 25% or more of the business, including email and phone number
    • Business Tax ID
    • Legal business name and DBA, if applicable
    • Articles of Organization
    • Corporate or Business Resolution (If not uploaded but required, someone will reach out and send the necessary documents to assist you)
  • General Partnership
    • Valid ID such as drivers license state ID, military ID or passport
    • Basic personal information for additional signers or owners of 25% or more of the business, including email and phone number
    • Business Tax ID
    • Legal business name and DBA, if applicable
    • Partnership Agreement
    • Corporate or Business Resolution (If not uploaded but required, someone will reach out and send the necessary documents to assist you)
  • Limited Partnership
    • Valid ID such as drivers license, state ID, military ID or passport
    • Basic personal information for additional signers or owners of 25% or more of the business, including email and phone number
    • Business Tax ID
    • Legal business name and DBA, if applicable
    • Certificate of Registration
    • Contract of Partnership
    • Corporate or Business Resolution (If not uploaded but required, someone will reach out and send the necessary documents to assist you)
  • Corporation
    • Valid ID such as drivers license, state ID, military ID or passport
    • Basic personal information for additional signers or owners of 25% or more of the business, including email and phone number
    • Business Tax ID
    • Legal business name and DBA, if applicable
    • Articles of Incorporation
    • Non-profit documentation from the IRS (if applicable)
    • Corporate or Business Resolution (If not uploaded but required, someone will reach out and send the necessary documents to assist you)

Once I open my account, how do I access my money?

  • Access your money
    • A representative from our Business Banking team will reach out to you about check orders and/or debit cards. Debit cards can be printed at a banking center for pickup, or mailed directly to you, your choice!
    • To enroll in online banking, go to our Business Online Banking page. 
    • Once you're enrolled in online banking, download the Traditional Bank Mobile App in the Apple store and Google Play store. Deposit checks, pay bills, transfer funds & more, all through the App.
