Stay Safe: Protect Yourself From Scams
At Traditional Bank, your security is our priority. Here are some important reminders to help keep your information safe:
What We Will Never Do
- Ask to remotely access your computer or phone.
- Email, text, or call asking you to sign in to your Online Banking from a link we send.
- Request your full password, PIN, or one-time passcode.
Use Caution with Links & Attachments
- Don’t click suspicious links or open unexpected attachments, even if they look like they’re from a company you trust.
- Always go directly to a company’s official website by typing the address into your browser.
How to Spot a Scam
- Urgent language: “Act now” or “Your account will be closed.”
- Requests for sensitive information like account numbers, passwords, or Social Security numbers.
- Messages with typos, poor grammar, or unusual email addresses.
- Companies do not need you to log into your online banking while they have access to your computer.
What To Do if You’re Unsure
- Hang up and call our local team directly at 859-498-0414.
- Stop and think before you click.
- Report suspicious emails, texts, or calls immediately.
Remember, your good judgement is often your best defense.
